Every law firm, no matter its age, is a collection of partnerships, and it is these which define the firm. At Lemery Greisler, we’re certainly pleased to be one of the largest law firms in the Capital Region, but more so we’re proud of the longevity of our attorney’s partnerships, for it is these which shape our culture.
Lemery Greisler (briefly Lemery, MacKrell, Greisler) came into being in January of 2000, when Nick Greisler, a well-regarded commercial lawyer, joined what was then Lemery MacKrell, a respected commercial and litigation firm. He brought with him partner Daniel J. Tyson, with whom he’d worked since the 1970’s. They joined not only a successful Saratoga Springs office, headed by John Lemery with Jim Carminucci, Robert May, Jr., and Patrick Scott Reid, partners since 1989, but a top Albany office made up of longtime partners, Charles Dumas and Paul Levine. As Mr. Levine puts it, “while Lemery Greisler, the legal entity, has been together since 2000, the constituent parts – the flesh and blood – have been together for much longer than that”.
There’s little doubt that this durability also shapes our relationships with our clients – who we like to think of as our partners – since many of these relationships have proven lasting as well. We have client relationships spanning 20 years, and communities that we’ve work within, and strengthened with our work, for even longer. It is always our intention when we partner with a new client that the relationship eventually rival those within our firm in length, strength and success.
Lemery Greisler is a premier business law firm with a significant economic development practice that involve an array of disciplines. The breadth of our services is also augmented by the location of our offices, with our Albany office perfectly situated near the courts and able to serve points south, and our Saratoga Springs office well-steeped in the community and able to provide coverage north.
From our inception, a significant part of our agenda has always been to enhance the communities within which we work through growing the business base and creating jobs. We have been very mindful of this and we do it well.
